Connection Network
NYC Metro RID is committed to fostering positive relationships between interpreters in our community. We are thrilled to announce our new "Connection Network'' which will pair certified and non-certified interpreters on a semester cycle based on interest and shared goals. This program is completely free of charge and available to all NYC Metro RID members!
Our goal in launching this new program is to connect members who are certified and non-certified interpreters utilizing a “big brother/big sister” format in an effort to create more networking opportunities, and provide opportunities for interpreters to grow professionally and improve interpreting skill sets.
Interested? Sign up now for our second cycle: July 15 - November 15, 2022. Mentees are strongly encouraged to attend a brief meet & greet orientation session in early July (more information to come). Recommended time commitment is 12 hours minimum. Mentors can receive a membership dues voucher for Metro RID ($40 value) and an opportunity to earn Independent Study CEUs.
